By accessing or using the RootsTutorServices website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services

RootsTutorServices provides online tutoring services connecting students with qualified tutors across a range of curricula including IB, A-Levels, IGCSE, GCSE, SAT, ACT, and AP. We act as a platform facilitating the tutor-student relationship.

3. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Users under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian create and manage their account.

4. Bookings & Scheduling

Sessions must be booked through our platform. We will confirm your booking and assign a tutor within 24 hours where possible. Session times are agreed between you and your tutor, subject to availability.

5. Payment & Fees

Fees are charged per session or per package as outlined on our pricing page. Payment is due at the time of booking or according to the terms of your selected package. All fees are listed in GBP unless otherwise stated.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — please contact our team for assistance.

7. Code of Conduct

All users are expected to behave respectfully during sessions and in all communications. Abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the RootsTutorServices website — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of RootsTutorServices or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. Lesson materials created by tutors for your sessions are for your personal educational use only.

9. Limitation of Liability

RootsTutorServices provides tutoring services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for the highest quality, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
